EBT Text Scam Alert
Various counties have reported clients receiving EBT text scam alerts soliciting information. Please make sure not to provide any information or call the number provided on the text, instead contact our El Centro office or call the number provided on the back of your EBT card.
Imperial County has received a call from a customer stating that he received a text from a person who identifies himself/herself as from “CalFresh” providing a website to apply for his “stimulus check”. This text has been identified as a scam to obtain personal information. It is advised to not click on the website address provided and to delete the text immediately.

Public Benefit recipients should take the following measures to keep their personal information and State benefits safe:
Never give out your personal information to anyone, or you could have your benefits stolen.
Keep your EBT card number and PIN a secret.
Never give out your social security number, EBT card number or PIN to anyone.
